Dear Parents and Friends of Sporting Columbus,

I hope this message finds you well. It has been an incredible journey watching our club grow and seeing the positive impact it has on our young athletes, their families, and the broader community. Sporting Columbus has always been about more than just soccer – it is about creating opportunities, fostering personal growth, and building a community around the sport we all love.

Today, I am reaching out to share an exciting new initiative. We are forming a Fundraising Steering Committee to support the Sporting Columbus Foundation, and we need your help to make it a success. This committee will play a vital role in helping us expand our outreach efforts across the Columbus, Ohio region, ensuring that we can secure the funds necessary to continue supporting our athletes and the long-term success of the club.

Our primary goals include:

1. Creating an Annual Scholarship Program: This program will ensure that deserving athletes, regardless of their financial circumstances, can participate and thrive in our club.
2. Supporting Club Operations: We aim to offset critical costs related to facilities, equipment, and staffing, allowing Sporting Columbus to maintain the high standards we are known for.

I invite those of you who are passionate about the future of our club and our athletes to consider joining this Fundraising Steering Committee. Josh Racette, former Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach at Capital University and current non-profit executive in the Columbus, Ohio area has volunteered to head this committee. He has a child in the club and understands firsthand the importance of how a group of like-minded people can come together to support a cause. This committee will work closely with our team to identify new sponsorship and donation opportunities, organize fundraising events, and connect with community leaders to build lasting partnerships. Your involvement will be key in helping us reach our ambitious goals.
